Jessica’s classes are a breath of fresh air and a blast of wind through the heart. Sheng Zhen (the qi gong she teaches and practices) is based on the pretense that all we experience in life emanates from the source of unconditional love. For me, that can often feel like a far off prayer more than a realized way of seeing the world. Yet something happens when I’m taking class with Jess. Something shifts during the practice that just ‘feels good’ and then afterward, is more subtle, more difficult to pinpoint, but fully permeating. I guess that feeling could be just what the practice has to offer – touching base with what we truly are – unconditional love… And Jess is the perfect person to learn from. Within her is a deeply loving, deeply wise, Jedi-like master. Her classes are like a gentle hand on my back, guiding me to the here and how, where I want to be. It’s a graceful thing to have her as a teacher and I can’t be thankful enough for the energy she gives and cultivates.
Soothing Self-Care
I found Healing Gong to be a wonderful & relaxing method of self-care. The movements encouraged my body to stretch in new ways that felt amazing. Also, I get severe menstrual cramps and there were a couple of movements in particular that were especially soothing for those. Jessica is a great teacher and I highly recommend her class!
A Shining Light
It’s funny, it’s not so much how Qi Gong has effected my life as it is how it continues to affect my life, that surprises me. The practice enlivens me to be continually at a higher level of presence, an expanded awareness of my being as a multidimensional self where anything is possible. I think Jessica is the perfect spirit guide to lead one on this journey, the profound light with which she shines, she passes on to the hearts and minds of those around her. Clearing Blocks
While taking a group qi gong class with Jessica, I had a truly profound transformation of a painful sensation I have had, on and off, in my left side for the past several years. It had been “on” recently, but after Jessica explained that in the philosophical system of SZ Gong, the left side of the body is considered the masculine side, and while we were performing one of the moves in the form we were learning, the pain cleared and left me feeling a sense of ease there that I had not felt in years. It was as though a block to healthy qi flow around and through my dantien had been removed. Simultaneously, the realization arose in my mind that I had been suppressing the expression of the masculine side of my power for years. I felt seated and comfortable in a healthy expression of the masculine side of my power. Thank you, Jessica and SZ Gong!

Migraine Relief
I’ve lived with migraine headaches for twenty years. Before receiving regular craniosacral work from Jessica, I had not encountered a healing modality that worked to prevent my particular type of headache. Not only are my headaches less severe than they once were, it has been months since I’ve taken migraine medication. The overall impact of craniosacral treatment on my health has been considerable: fewer headaches, freedom from medication, and a deeply relaxed nervous system. I am incredibly grateful to Jessica for her loving work.
Pain Relief
The effects of the treatment on Wednesday were immediate and are still felt as of today, Friday. Generally, the overall treatment lasts for a week or more. The greatest benefit is derived from stretching my contracted muscles which results in pain relief, and improved posture. I strongly recommend Shiatsu to anyone and everyone.

I have been practicing Sheng Zhen Gong with Jessica for a few years and the least of what I can say about it is that it is profound and it works. As a person who has closed off my heart from the rest of the world for most of my adult life, I have been searching for peace and balance to counteract this. I have found the peace and balance I have been looking for in the practice of Sheng Zhen Gong. It heals the body, mind, and soul. It has changed my life.
Emotional Healing
While taking a private qi gong lesson with Jessica, I had a profoundly healing emotional release. Someone close to me had recently had an emergency and I had needed to help them contact the police. The shock and fear from the incident came up strongly as Jessica was teaching me the nuances of the Heaven Nature Gong form of S.Z. Gong. I am convinced that both Jessica’s calm presence and the flow of qi from the form we were practicing helped me heal much faster from the emotional impact of the incident than I would have otherwise. Relief from Chronic Pain
Pain in both of my thumbs has been a daily ordeal for me for at least the last 8 years. I have tried chiropractic treatments, acupuncture sessions, as well as therapeutic massage. Only the massage has ever done more than just dull the pain for a few days, and it was never more than just a case of some brief relief. The pain always returned.
With this history in mind, I requested Jessica VanAntwerp try to give me some relief from the pain. She spent one hour working her energy methods on my thumbs.
I have been totally pain-free in my left thumb since the session with her. The right thumb (my dominant hand) has a very low level of pain and sometimes for days without any noticeable pain at all. I plan to get another session scheduled with Jessica as soon as I can be scheduled.
